The Education & Resource Center provides services to the
public from the following organizations:

Oregon Employment
Department offers a wide range of services in its 47
offices, web site, and at one of the 147 kiosk locations around the state that
can help employers, job seekers and the community.
There is no cost or qualifying for job
services.
The Employment department operates the single
largest labor exchange, facilitating the placement of qualified workers in jobs.
Other key services include labor market information, administration of the
Unemployment Insurance program, and the Child Care Division which inspects and
certifies child care facilities.

Rogue Community College (RCC) provides
information on scheduling college entrance exams, college registration, classes,
and other community college programs. Class schedules and advising guides are
available. RCC also provides customized training for businesses and
organizations in southern Oregon. Classes specifically designed for companies
and organizations are often offered in the Education & Resource Center
classrooms.

Southern
Oregon Goodwill Industries performs technology needs
assessments and training for persons with disabilities and provides
on-site use of low vision and blindness technology for ERC patrons.
Referrals to our Career Center are made
for employee development services and information on community resources
available. Goodwill offers a broad array of support groups, training
workshops, and services that promote employment to individuals with moderate
to severe employment barriers.

The Job Council provides
training and employment services tailored to meet the needs of dislocated
workers, youth, adults, older workers, individuals with disabilities and unemployed adults receiving food stamps or cash assistance support from DHS.
Information on seminars and the latest tips for a successful job search are
available on the website. Individuals interested in employment and training services are encouraged to attend an orientation session. See website for details.
