On October 15, 1998, the State of Oregon announced the activation of a new service available in Oregon, The Oregon Career Network (OCN) Web Site. The Site connects job seekers and employers with the workforce development services they need. By bringing service providers together into a partnership, the OCN offers a diverse array of workforce services that can be accessed throughout Oregon. The Oregon Career Network is a network of partnerships and sites throughout Oregon, committed to exceptional levels of performance and customer satisfaction within Oregon's workforce development system through integration, collaboration and focusing on results that matter to workforce customers. State and local partners have agreed on the following principles to guide all services throughout the Oregon Career Network:

The following agencies are partners in the development of the Oregon Career Network:
- Oregon Employment Department
- Office of Community Colleges/Job Training Partnership Administration
- Oregon Department of Education
- Oregon Department of Human Resources
- Oregon Economic Development Department
- The Governor's Office of Education and Workforce Policy
The Region 8 partnership with the Oregon Career Network in Jackson and Josephine Counties is a cooperative effort between many state and local agencies, businesses and organizations. The central office is located at the Education & Resource Center (ERC), located on the lower level of the Rogue Valley Mall next to Mervyn's. We are proud to be a part of the Oregon Career Network, striving to bring employment, training and other services to Oregonians in a convenient and accessible manner.
